- Raffle - we will be raffling off a horse-riding lesson. If you have something that you would like to donate to also raffle, let me know or contact Kelly.
- Baking - we are making horse shaped cookies to sell on the day. If you would like to contribute some horse-themed baking to sell that would be appreciated.
- Bubbles - we would also like to have the opportunity for people to try blowing some mega-bubbles. These are really impressive and so much fun - we just need bubble mix. This is the brand of bubble mix that works best. It can be bought from The Warehouse for $12.99 a bottle. You could buy a bottle to donate, or send in money towards some.
We are Room 24 - a learning community of Year 2 students. Our teacher this year is Miss Connolly. Welcome to our blog, please take a look around and see what we've been up to.

Diverse Diyas
Well done to those children who have already brought in an artefact from home to show how they use light to celebrate.
Maddie, Aarush, Quinn, Claire, Sawyer, Denziel, Melanie, Azra, Kate, Ivo, Fletcher, Rafa, Lucas, Isabel, Yashvi, and Kerisha - great to see your artefacts!
Everyone else, please bring in an artefact asap. We had another discussion in class today so everyone should have an idea of something they could bring.
This is an important part of our learning this week so it would be good to see everyone bring something in.

Diwali
This term we are looking at how people celebrate Diwali. Kerisha brought in some things from home to show us how her family celebrates. She showed us all her diyas and explained how they work. She even demonstrated some Rangoli using coloured powder and stencils. Thanks Kerisha for teaching us all about Diwali. We can't wait to learn more!
Shake Out
On Thursday our class took part in Shake Out. We learnt what to do if there is an earthquake. You need to Drop, Cover, Hold. Here we are practising our earthquake drill. Try practising this at home as a family.
